Global crowdfunding platform GlobalGiving meets with partners from Ukraine at Dzherelo Centre

The international crowdfunding platform GlobalGiving, a long-standing partner of Dzherelo Centre, organized a networking meeting with partners from all over Ukraine. In total, more than 20 charitable organizations from Lviv, Kyiv, Odesa, Chernivtsi, and representatives from the USA, the Czech Republic, and Scotland gathered to discuss improvements to their ongoing collaboration.

The American organization GlobalGiving, which provides a global crowdfunding platform for mass charitable projects, discussed joint opportunities with partners, including various donation programs. For instance, GlobalGiving has specific days when individuals can register on their website and make donations, after which the organization matches those funds. They also discussed the implementation of grant opportunities for organizations, such as crisis or planned grants.

The main message of the meeting was to establish nationwide communication and create a community of charitable organizations to enhance cooperation and implement large-scale charitable projects.

It is worth noting that thanks to the 5-year collaboration between GlobalGiving and Dzherelo Centre, over half a million dollars were raised from 263 donors. These funds were used to implement two projects, and fundraising is still ongoing for another project. Additionally, in the years 2022-2023, Dzherelo Centre received $450,000 from the GlobalGiving Crisis Relief Fund for the establishment of a day care branch, the purchase of individual kits, and the implementation of a project to open the Center for Assistive Technologies.
